South Atlantic Logistics (Pty) Ltd (SAL) is a Namibian-owned company that specialises in scheduled passenger services, air ambulance, air taxi/charter, offshore, aircraft maintenance, flying school and aerial work services supplying services to the International Oil Companies, Search & Rescue and other Offshore activities. SAL will operate several specialised aircraft, principally the Augusta Westland AW 109, AW 169, AW 139 and the AW 189. Our aircraft are suitably equipped and professionally crewed and maintained to the highest international standards. SAL has entered into a strategic partnership with Alidaunia Srl, an Italian based airline with over 40 years’ experience in the aviation industry operating globally.

International Oil Companies

SAL will supply strategic services to the International Oil Companies operating in the deepwater exploration and drilling platforms off the Namibian coastline. Many of the rigs are located 200+ km’s
offshore and drilling in up to 2 km water depth and up to 4 km below the seabed. Such operations require fulltime services for provisioning, maintenance & parts, crew change and medical services. 

Offshore Activities

SAL will supply strategic services to the Offshore Industry, such as:

  • Personnel transfers to vessels at berth and at anchorage.
  • Delivery of stores, fresh water, and equipment to vessels at anchorage.
  • Personnel transfers to offshore and harbour construction job sites.
  • Offshore Oil Well & Diamond Vessel support.
  • Emergency rescue and salvage work both offshore and onshore in remote desert regions of Namibia.
